Oldham based quartet The Recreation have just released their latest track English Weather.

Channeling the frustrations of one-sided love, English Weather sets off with a mellow vibe before building up; erupting into a combination of rolling riffs and punchy percussion.

The track incorporates powerful vocals complemented by accelerating rhythms; and Baldwin (vocals) continues to supply us with that familiar twang which can be heard throughout the bands music. Making for a catchy summer tune; this is a track I can imagine crowds singing along to as the sun goes down.

Forming their current lineup in 2014, The Recreation have spent the last 5 years releasing tunes and gaining support across the Northern music scene. Racking up over 50,000 streams on Spotify and soon to be embarking on their biggest tour to date (this autumn); if you’re looking for some new tunes to soundtrack your summer, this band will surely deliver.

With every release The Recreation seem to bring something different and exciting to the table, I look forward to what’s to come next.
